In 1972 I was to become the new Area 12-D Adviser for the Lodges of Central
California (Stockton, Modesto, Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield, San Luis Obispo and Salinas). Before I was installed the
12 BSA Regions merged to become 6 Regions and the 5 OA Areas in California became 4 Sections. It was Area 12-D that
was disbanded and did not become a Section. Esselen Lodge then joined Section W3A of the San Francisco Bay.

30 FROM ESSELEN ATTEND NOAC - 1973
Thirty Esselen members went by chartered Greyhound bus to the 1973 National Order of the Arrow Conference
held at the University of California in Santa Barbara. We spent a day at Disneyland before arriving at the conference.
It was the largest contingent Esselen has sent to a NOAC.
